Sid is just your average people eating lunatic. When he was born his parents locked him in a shed in their backyard and he was completely cut off from everything his whole life. He discovered the fun of killing when he would come across small mice in the shed, and would torture them and later eat them. Since he was cut off from the world never learned how to speak, and eventually created his own language and words for things, and also often times mimics the other noises that he hears. when he was big enough he broke free of the shed with a sledgehammer that he found and still carries with him today. He was turned loose into the world with no sense that killing was wrong, because before it was just a way to stay alive. He kills and eats people just the same as the mice that used to run through the shed.
